Introduction the nosocomial infection represents a serious problem for the public health in some countries, therefore it is one of the biggest causes of drawn out internment and morbimortalidade, in public and particular hospitals. The hospital environment has a deep relation with the taxes of hospital infections (IH), being a propitious place for the storage of diverse pathogenic microrganismos 1. The pneumonia is an infection provoked for infectious agents whom if they install in parnquimas pulmonary, being more common in UTIs (Unit of Intensive Therapy), occurring in submitted patient invasive procedures 2,3. The pneumonia associated with the ventilation mechanics (PAVM) is the second bigger cause of IH, being evidenced in intubados, ventilated patients mechanically, after more than 48 hours of ventilation mechanics 4,5. Some factors directly are related with the incidence of the PAVM: bigger age that 45 years, imunodepresso, presence of shock, use of corticoesterides, antecedent of Doena Pulmonar Obstrutiva Crnica (DPOC), previous antibiotic use and time of ventilation superior mechanics nine days 2.
The use of traqueais pipes is a contributor for reduction of the mechanisms of defense of the superior and pulmonary ways aerial, harming the cough consequence and allowing that microrganismos enter in contact with inferior respiratory treatment 4. The treatment with improper antibiotic is a factor that extends the mortality tax, causing imperfection in the treatment and probable election of resistant microrganismos as Acinetobacter baumannii, aeruginosa Pseudomonas, Staphylococcus aureus and Klebsiella pneumoniae. To identify to the existing bacteria in the UTI and the aspect of sensitivity to antimicrobialses can assist at the beginning of adequate antibioticoterapia 6. This study it had as objective to evaluate the prevalence of isolated bacteria in traqueal secretion cultures of patients interned in UTIs. Methods Are about a retrospective study by means of survey of the results of cultures where they had been carried through the letters of identification (Gram-negative 105-secretion, 585 Gram-positive and Fungos-UST), of the isolated microrganismos of quantitative carried through traqueais secretion cultures, in the period of March of 2010 the March of 2011, in the Laboratory of Clinical Analyses – Sector of microbiology of the University Hospital of Goinia.
